As a leader learning from mistakes is the key to success…and I have made a ton of mistakes!! These are not in any order, but definite no no’s for the remaining days of my life and ministry:
10) Ask my wife when we are arguing “Have you had your time with God today?”.
9) Believe ministry success is found by the size of your congregation.
8 ) Miss a date night with Cindy!
7) Say yes to everything.
6) Believe everything people tell me.
5) Believe it’s God’s will for everyone who joins the church, but not everyone who leaves.
4) Listen to the advice of those who have never taken a spiritual risk of faith in ministry.
3) Preach a prayer-less message.
2) Believe that God needs me.
1) Take a job for the salary and benefit package.
I am a work in progress and constantly learning how to submit my life to the Sovereign King of the Universe. Tell me your 10…
