Pornography, sex, lust and no sex is the elephant in the church. Everyone thinks they are the only one who struggles or the only one who has needs that go unmet. This weekend will be a refreshing look at Jesus perspective on pornography and more importantly porneia. 44% of Christians have said they want their pastors to teach on sex and sexual issues. The inventor of sex wrote the Bible and we are going to look at it cover to cover for His precepts for freedom from porneia. Job 31:1 “I have made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a girl” may seem impossible for you…but you can win over the enemy’s lies…attend and find out how.

The elephant in the room certainly can’t be ignored. This elephant sized burden I’ve carried with me nearly ruined my marriage. Week 1 of this service Jesus spoke to me and I gave it all to Him, confessed to my wife the lust I had been living in (the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do) and praise God I have been forgiven by Him and by her! Our marriage will survive, the burden has been lifted, our love has been renewed, we are praying together and we just lift up our marriage to Him. We are in the process of ridding our home of all the movies, books, and other trash that promotes the filth that Satan has used to tempt me and to come between us. Thank you Jesus for Brand New Church and for giving Shannon the courage and desire to speak Your truths.

I wanted to say that I appreciate the honesty of the gentleman confessing the pornography problem. He is to be commended. Without confession the addiction or problem will stay with you. In your repentance and confession and of course accountability will you be set free by the Holy Spirit of truth.
