The disciples were scared of ghosts:
Mark 6:49 “but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out…”
Luke 24:36-39 “While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”
Are there humans that come back to earth to haunt and taunt – No
Hebrews 9:27 ““Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.”
Where do all the stories come from about Ghosts?
Demonic influence…spirit beings
2 Corinthians 11:14-15 “And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.”
Closest story in the Scripture concerning a graveyard spooky scene:
Mark 5:1-4 “They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes. When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an evil spirit came from the tombs to meet him. This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him any more, not even with a chain. For he had often been chained …”

There is one Ghost the Scripture refers to that you need to be aware of…
The HOLY GHOST!!
1) Jesus began with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit

3) The Holy Ghost is synonymous with signs and wonder!

When the Holy Ghost gets a hold of you 3 things change:
PASSIONS, PLEASURES, AND DESIRES
The Holy Ghost is God!
Who (What) is the Holy Ghost
Your Teacher and Counselor
Jn. 14:26 “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things”
A Person, Not a Supernatural Force
Is God, Not a Creation of God’s
He Testifies
John 15:26 “When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me.”
He Leads
Romans 8:14 “Because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”
He Intercedes
Romans 8:26 “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.”
He Searches All Things
1 Corinthians 2:11 “The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.”
He Says Were Saved
Romans 8:16 “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”
He Can Be Resisted
Acts 7:51 “You always resist the Holy Spirit!”
He Created the World and Raised Jesus from the Dead
