My prayer life is the unsung hero in my spiritual life and yours. Exegesis, homiletics, and even exposition of The Word are so important, but prayer is what moves the hand and heart of God in our ministry. Here are my top ten prayers as pastor right now:
10) That God would reveal His Word fresh through the Holy Ghost.
9) God would use me beyond earthly measure.
8 ) That I would teach BNC about our Holy God; not how think, believe and behave.
7) That my staff would know I love them and that I’m not using them.
6) That I would desire to hear my members more than my message to be heard by them.
5) Anointing from God Almighty!
4) That I would learn from my kids, and become like a child in my faith.
3) Humility, tenderness, and not desiring to be right all the time with Cindy.
2) That I would be a courageous leader.
1) “THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL, BE DONE!”
What are you praying for right now? Summarize it to a top ten and let’s watch God answer!

Shannon: saw you at theSticks in Loudonville. Anyway, thanks for this list. I just wrote about my “situation” at http://billgrandi.ovcf.org/wordpress/?p=2882 and must confess that my prayer life has taken a hit through this whole thing. Going to try to print this out and make one of my own.
10. That God would increase my compassion, and my ability to respond appropriately to it.
9. That I become more than just a soft-hearted person…but more of a Jeremiah, that my heart would break over sin MORE than situations.
8. That my priority be aimed at my home and the people who live there, than on the world and the demands it has on me.
7. That every word that I utter is truth.
6. That I see opportunities to serve. And then follow through.
5. That I use my talents and skills appropriately for God’s glory, rather than my own.
4. That I don’t stop believing in the power of forgiveness in every relationship.
3. That I’m not afraid of a challenge.
2. That I’m not taking the easy road.
1. That His promises to me are not just wishful thinking.
Top 10 is hard to come up with when it comes down to it. It’s also tough to place impotance or priority on one or the other because one may be less significant one day, and complete priority the next. So I will just go with bullets (*)
*For God to protect and cleanse my eyes and mind from seeing and desiring impure and immoral things
*For those closest to me (Father, brother, best friend) to open their lives up to the Lord.
*For God’s will to be done in my life and/or to know what God wants of me in the vocational sense.
*To serve others the best that I can.
*To experience true happiness to the fullest extent possible
*For any tendencies to be timid be replaced with courage and confidence
*For God to bless me with the match he perfectly designed for me
*For continued spiritual growth to take place in my life, and for the ability to constantly raise the bar for my peers
*That The Lord will always keep me strong in standing for what I right, what I am passionate about, and what I have worked all of my life to acheive.
*That things will all fall into place that will allow me to be most effective for the cause of Christ.
