Volunteers are the heartbeat of Brand New Church. Whatever happens well during a weekend experience begins with volunteers in the parking lot, then greeters, cafe, retail services, children, preschool, ushers (soon to be called host), campus support, first impressions, bomb squad, worship team, tech team (switchers, media, editing, cameras, lighting, audio and more) icampus, student ministry, emerge, bus ministry, and more.
What makes a great VOLUNTEER team:
VISION –
If an organization does not have continuing vision it will never have the excellence needed in any area. Church members do not respond to need, they respond and sign up for vision.
OPPORTUNITY –
Every human wants to make a difference. We must make volunteering easily available to every one attending our churches. Create unchurched, maturing, and mature believers, volunteer options.
LEADERSHIP –
Each area should have an excellent leader with passion and faithfulness. This is the key to success for any area of volunteering. We do not have a “paid” volunteer leader, but the most unbelievable volunteer leaders overseeing each area of leadership. Our Campus Pastors are then responsible to educate and keep the vision awareness in front of the teams.
UNANSWERED -
No question will go unanswered by our volunteers. They must answer any question or know how to get them to someone that can answer it.
TRANSMIT
Constantly, Consistently, and Continually transmit the vision, mission and our preoccupation with reaching the lost. This must be seen in every area and in every attention to detail.
EXCELLENCE AND ENVIRONMENT –
Every service “something eternal is taking place” so we must make every effort to create an excellent environment…this happens three ways: 1) Sight – we must have excellent aesthetics and a clutter free facility. 2) Sound – This can remove awkwardness for first timers, relaxation in children areas and a listening ear during the worship through song experience. 3) Smell – Smell is often the first impression so make certain your campus has a concentrated focus and soothing, unobtrusive scents.
RELATIONSHIPS –
Your volunteer teams will become a family meeting each others needs, hospitalization visits, baby showers, encouragement and so much more. We are finding that our volunteer team are becoming the premiere connecting point of our church family.
Thank you BNC Volunteers for setting the bar for churches around the country in excellence, service and faithfulness to Jesus’ mission to build His Church!!

I LOVE being able to serve! It is an honor & priviledge to be apart of such an amazing group of servants. In alot of churches, you have to be part of a certain group or know the right people to be able to use your talents. BNC on the other hand, enjoys anyone who wants to serve. There are so many talented people involved at BNC, and trust me where one may be lacking another flourishes. I can’t imagine being in a church where I couldn’t express myself by sharing my talents for God’s glory.

I’ve know maybe 15 to 20 people out the massive congregation at BNC. As I pull in to the Parking lot there was a guy that was helping vehicles to park, well I slowed down my window was open
and as I drove slow I heard him said welcome to the Stick we are glad to have you. I walk to towards the from door I acknowledge that it was around, I don’t know? maybe 15 people in red BNC T shirts greeting people, so I walked towards the door well as I am walking towards the one encounters me and lay his hand out and welcomed me, and so I kept walking and next thing you know their at least 9 people (greeters) welcoming me and telling how happy they are to se. I only knew one person in that whole group, and to be honest I felt like I was a very important figure. I felt care for and love. enough said. Thank you.
