Here are this weeks message notes:
The key to killing Giants in your life is…not doing for yourself, but for vindicating the Lord and believing His power is the same today!!!
David – 5’4”
5 stones…one sling
Goliath – 9’9”
Armor weighed 125lbs
His spear was 15lbs
Why did David grab five stones if he trusted God to kill him?
What stones should you be carrying?
Stone #1 – Nike – victory
God is our victory!!
You used to believe that…God said it you did it.
Victory is only victory when it is remembered!
I used to listen to the whisper.
David…I used to take care of daddy’s sheep and….
Stone #2 – Masculinity!!
Can we get some men up in this place?
Ladies yours is Blessedness…
Prov. 31:28 “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:”
That are cut, convicted, confident, consistent, clean, chivalries
Stone #3 – Prayer
Eph. 6:18 “8And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
Stone #4 – Priority
He fought because God was enough
“you will never know Jesus is all you need, until Jesus is all you have…”
Make him Priority
Stone #5 – Preparation
Ready for the next battle…you will face another giant!
What are the giants in your life?
You see your giants, but is that all you see?
You either FLEE of FACE
When David saw his giant what did He do?
He proclaimed who God was 4 times!!! Vs. 26, 36, 45, 46
Are you more likely to proclaim God 4 times looking at your giant or
-Hopelessness – vs. 11
9’9” vs. 5’4’
and in this corner
Financial, martially, vocationally, relationally, parentally, emotionally
-Ridicule – vs. 28-30
Ridicule comes most often from those closest to you!
Can I not even speak…they don’t want to hear from you, because they love their voice!
This is my giant…today!!!
-Failure –
You’re to young, you don’t even shave yet, you are just a farmer.
1 Sam. 16:7 “The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
You have everything you need to defeat failure!
-Weariness –
You’ve fought, you’re tired, people are betting against you …
Vs. 48 “As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him.”
One stone, no armor, no allies, nothing to fall back on,
-Strongholds –
Explosive Anger, Fragile Self Image, Outrageous Appetite, Distrust of Authority
These giants are getting in with no battle…
2 Cor. 10:4 “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.”
The enemy is telling you lie after lie…
-You’ve tried before
-It will not last
-It’s just they way you were raised
-You can’t overcome past abuse
Two thoughts choices…God strengths or your failures!
David continued to face giants and some with not as much success…
Morality
Lying
Pride
But he repented and 1 Sam. 13:14 “was a man after God’s own heart”
Is this same power true today? Or just “Once Upon a Time” in your life?
Heb 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
THE GOD WHO GUIDED DAVID GUIDES YOU!!!!!!

It’s probably a good thing that we don’t.
Judges:11-39
Judges 19:22-30
1 Samuel 18:25-27
