1- “Becoming obessed with what people think about you is the quickest way to forget what God thinks about you.” Craig Groeschel…I was watching C3 on Daystar and they stopped showing the service right after Craig made this statement and it has stuck with me for days! It goes with #9 – “You have the disease to please.” Ed Young Jr. I want to get along with everyone and I want everyone to be happy.
I love quotes! #1 is really good, #11 cut the cool crap- on many diffrent levels, so many people try to appear all together and won’t allow themselves to just be honest so you can’t relate to them, or at least I can’t, same way at church’s sometimes. #16 responsible for the lost world is so true and being a mom of four little kids I lie to myself and say that I don’t have time but it’s a huge burden on my heart, I know that I’m to be out there too just like I am here. God can give me the wisdon and physical strength to do both if I would just ask him. ok, last one…#17 is good. Thats a really good saying actually and true.
my favorite – “you know he’s God’s man for the trouble he’s in.” Bishop TD Jakes
20 – “All she had to do is pour it out…quit holding it in…pour it out.” Bishop TD Jakes
Sometimes I just don’t know how to pour it out or where.

If we could only learn the requirement is to “love God” and out of that relationship, “love others” and then “He will direct our paths.” Anytime I rationalize the Word because of what others think, I begin to “rational” “lie”.
I like #4 and #6 the best. People are hungry for a relevant church and message. “we” are tired of going to church to “feel good” or to hear someone speak over you head. It is nice to hear what actually pertains to your everyday living. Also, the same basically goes for #6. for years that concentration has been on doing things the same way. It is refreshing to have thinks “shook” up every week. keeps you thinking, growing, and changing!!
Hey Shannon!
Just wanted to say it was great seeing you guys at C3, I wish I had time to sit down and chat with ya! Maybe I’ll have to take a visit to one of your campuses one of these days!
Cut the cool crap. I am find that I am not cool now nor have I ever been. God isn’t going to look at me and say, “You were ‘it’ with everyone.” He is going to say, “Why didn’t you make Me ‘it’ with everyone?”

Quote #2 made me realize that there have been many obstacles in my growth process for almost 30 years of Christ-followship due to the fact that I was trying to fool myself into thinking that I was not OF the world and wasn’t that all that really mattered? I was never taught that we should be IN the world…just not OF the world. Wouldn’t you say this is the Church’s greatest downfall? Preparing God’s people to reach the world is not a comfortable position to be in.
Many people who have been “churched” most of their lives believe that saying, “I am a Christian” takes them OUT of the world, when in fact saying “I am a Christian” should take you OUT-INTO the world, proclaiming the GOOD NEWS!! As TRUE believers, we must show love to the unlovable, share Jesus with those who really don’t seem to care who HE IS, and forgive those around us that we feel don’t deserve our forgiveness…then and only THEN, are we IN the world and not OF the world!! I am so thankful that I go to a church that teaches the TRUTH! What an awesome word was heard from Christine Cain @ c309′!!!
correction: Christine Caine
Shannon, you are actually the coolest person I know.
#17 Who are you putting horns on? Can’t wait to watch C3 when it comes in. Obviously this one is going to speak to me. AND always #20 I would love to get rid of the word always in this sentence!
Aren’t TD Jakes and Ed Young Jr. the kind of false prophets that we were warned in Scripture to watch out for?
17 – “Your tongue is the red devil behind the pearly gates.” Jentzen Franklin
we often forget that what we say reflects strongly on who we are. the hardest thing for me is biding my tongue.
I was given a link from a member and I am finding I really enjoy this site. Thank you for sharing. I can feel the love and passion here already.
