Breaking All the Rurals

Cliff and Lisa are two of the original members when I began at Southside Baptist Church (now DBA Brand New Church). They are great examples of why God is moving and working in our church. Sunday, Lisa handed me this encouragement letter and I believe it will minister to all of us who pastor or serve the greatest institution on planet earth...THE CHURCH!

I have been told that a satellite location will never grow larger that it's main campus.  When people share this, I always ask why and the same few reasons are shared...
#1 People want "their" preacher to be in person.
#2 Members will get tired of watching it on a screen.
#3 Leaders can't be developed in multi-site setting.
#4 They are impersonal.

What we are finding here at Brand New Church is that ...

Outreach and Community has been the theme for us here at Brand New Church for 2010.  Bass and Grass is an outreach idea that any church can AFFORD and PULL OFF SUCCESSFULLY.  Some men fish, some golf, some eat, so we included all of these elements in one event.  Hank Parker Jr. is our guest speaker to draw anglers and outdoorsmen with a gospel lure.
