Church Leadership is an anomaly, puzzling me daily. I do understand one thing…YOU MUST HAVE THE RIGHT PEOPLE AROUND YOU! Here are four things a staff/team/volunteers should be and provide for every leader.
Refinement –
Your team should polish, prune and improve your leadership. Your team should bring something to the table, not just take from it.
Refreshment –
Energy, Excitement, Expectation and Excellence is refreshing. Philemon 1:20 “I do wish, brother, that I may have some benefit from you in the Lord; REFRESH my heart in Christ.” ENOUGH SAID!
Reflection –
Your team/staff should have your heart. They should be an extension of you and your vision. If you’re having to work around a team member you need to pray through and spiritually discern how to handle that member immediately.
Reduce –
Your team should take things from your plate, not add to it. Don’t bring me problems, bring me solutions.
Thank you God for the SENSATIONAL TEAM you have given us here at Brand New Church. Leaders, what would you add to this list?

Shari says,
Comradery – Team should have your back!
Compassion – Team should be compassoinate not only to you but also to the congregation
Communication – Team should be able to communicate no matter the issue
Consistancy – Team should be consistant in what they say, do , and believe in!

Mark McIntyre says,
Thanks for this. I’m an elder at our church and this will help me focus my attentions in support of the pastor. I’m blessed with being able to serve under a guy that I trust implicitly and an the same page with.
