Exceed C3 2011

By Shannon O'Dell / Posted on 15 December 2010

Conferences are very important to the dreaming, building, and constructing of new vision within any organization. I must go on to say, if you are not attending at least two conferences a year you are going to miss out on leaders who inspire you to go beyond what you can see. While completing your 2011 budgets, find room for conferences and leadership development (we don’t have it our budget, because we are a poor rural church, but 79 thus far are registered and paying for C3 2011). No leadership event has affected my life, my marriage, or our team like C3. I  attended my first C3 in 1997 as a Student Pastor and it forever changed the way I exercise leadership and do ministry.

Let me share with you the specific events in my life and our church while attending C3 conferences:

#1 C3 1997
As a Student Pastor I began volunteer teams and it exponentially grew our ministry and the church at large.
#2 C3 2000
I accepted the clear call of God to surrender my life as a Senior Pastor wherever He would lead.
#3 C3 2002
Accepted the fact that God could use me anywhere and a few weeks later I received a call from a church in a town of 88 and I said yes.
#4 C3 2004
God called my “right hand” in ministry today to full time ministry…Bruce Medley. It’s was on the lower floor, second section, left side, first row.
#4 C3 2005
We meet as a team, surrendered to a location change, selected a church name change, and put together the presentation for our church body. That became Brand New Church.
#5 C3 2007
Took 26 lay leaders to the conference and they are still the core, rock solid leaders of our church.
#6 C3 2009
It was as if every speaker was talking to us through a very difficult adulterous situation, financial battle and staff division issues.
#7 C3 2010
The Spirit of God feel on all 44 leaders lives that attended with us. Three of our staff were re-baptized, our vision was honed and we have never been the same. We established our new vision statement…Brand New Church will reach The Last, The Lost and The Least!

These are just a few snapshot highlights. Don’t miss Brian Houston, Joyce Meyer, Judah Smith, Dr. Robi, Gary Clarke, Steven Furtick, Kong Hee or The Bishop TD Jakes. I am humbled and honored to be apart as well.

Sign up today by clicking HERE and tomorrow you will have a chance to win my book “Transforming Church in Rural America” for free when you register. I can’t wait to see you there!
