This may be the most inspiring piece of literature that I have read (other than the Holy Word of God) this year! Ironically, this was hanging above the urinal at a great sandwich shop in Conway, Arkansas. President Roosevelt penned this and it has fueled me in a HUGE way…read it and you will know what I mean. Read thoroughly and slowly…let me know what speaks to you.

Inspiring words. Coupled with my Bible reading today from Ephesians 4 gives me strength to start doing and stop waiting.
The part that spoke to me most was the last sentence….and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat…..I want to be counted as this daring person!

The righteous mans vision seldom comes without blood,sweat,& anguish. The fight is almost intolerable. But, with sound mind and his eyes on the prize – never stopping to pay attention to insult.Consulting only with the one who sent him will know the victory, if not here on earth – in heaven where our true victory lies.

This quote is sort of the foundation of Wild at Heart. I was and am inspired by this post to not “settle for settle for” but to risk and try. It reminds me to take God out of the box. Thanks for the encouragement today Shannon.
