The greatest story ever told is celebrated this week all over the world. God’s Son, Jesus Christ, gave himself, sacrificially, for all mankind’s evil and conquered the grave! Easter is when we change our gaze “East” on Christ’s soon return and recognize Easter as the antidote for this world’s fears. This year I am going to focus everyday on the events of Christ leading to His resurrection. I encourage you to do the same with your family and friends. I am guilty, year after year, of spending the majority of my “family time” making Easter Baskets and Easter Dinner plans. This year will be different in the O’Dell home. Let’s do this- together watching the Holy Spirit work in our homes, and lives, like never before this Resurrection Week.

Lisa Brightwell says,
Thank you Shannon. Taking advantage of some recovery time at home … can you think of anything better to do than pour over this? Lisa

Ashley says,
For the first time in our lives this Easter we are not going anywhere or seeing our extended family. It will be just the four of us. At first I was a little sad, but after seeing your blog it reminds me that this is an amazing opportunity to keep the meaning of Easter in Easter!! Thank you for posting all these wonderful references to share with our family!!

Mark says,
I know that this week is seen to many as “Holy Week”. I can’t see why that every week cannot be a Holy Week, God made it, did He not. Every day is a gift from our Heavenly Father and we should take notice and thank Him for each one. We should read the scriptures, learn what the scriptures are truly saying and take the knowledge God gives us and share it with others. Share with someone this week about our Lord Jesus Christ and what He has done for us. * Shannon I to am guilty, we all need to listen and attend to the Holy Spirit in the midst of our planning.
