Breaking All the Rurals

The heart of God for His Church saturates the pages of His Word. It may be the most neglected truth taught in most local churches around the world. Don’t be upset, just answer this question; “How much of your church budget, programming, sermons are centered around the poor, needy, oppressed, broken, fatherless and widowed? I HAVE BEEN WRECKED by the call of God to serve those in need! Jeremiah sums it all for us in chapter 22:16 “He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?” declares the LORD. God promises to grow your church and your members when you focus on meeting the needs of others. This holiday season let’s give like never before to the desperate in society. One pastor friend of mine is taking the $20,000 they annually spend on their Christmas Cantata and providing gifts, clothes and Christmas trees for needy families.

Here are reasons to get on board: (All found in Isaiah 58)
#1 Your message will shine.
#2 Your healing will come.
#3 Your testimony will be a God story.
#4 Your back will be protected from back stabbers.
#5 Your prayers will be answered.
#6 Your cries will be heard.
#7 Your fog will lift.
#8 Your direction will have Jesus GPS.
#9 You will be a well spring to those around you.
#10 Your body will be strong.
#11 Your church and town will be rebuilt on Heaven-sent Revival.
#12 Your needs will be met.

Let’s do this together, church member and church leaders. Please don’t rationalize this truth away as I have done for so many years. The American church has departed from this truth for too long. God remove our indifference and let us make a difference!
