Brian Houston, Pastor of Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia just might influence more for Christ than any leader on planet earth. Hillsong is known for it’s revolutionary worship and praise in America, but it’s known for second to none pastoral leadership everywhere else. Please let these statements resonate in your soul as they have in mine:
#1 John 12:26 “My Father will honor the one who serves Me.” Honor means “put weight behind it.” God will put His weight behind you when you serve Him. Dream it, live it, go for it and God puts His weight behind it…POW!
#2 Don’t let what God has called you to do distract you from what God has called you to do.
#3 When we do what God asks, He puts His weight behind it.
#4 People who have the most to say about an issue in your church, often are doing nothing about it.
#5 No mature Christ follower has any defendable excuse for living life offended.
#6 An offense is a trap…offended means to “take the bait.”
#7 Don’t get distracted with disappointment.
#8 If we are not about people we miss the plot.
#9 The difference between making a difference, and making no difference, is INDIFFERENCE.
#10 DON’T GET DISTRACTED BY PEOPLE’S SMALLNESS. Your vision, dream and desire will be challenged by small thinkers daily. Do not give in to their small mindset for one second.
I know that God’s call will be controversial, cantankerous and chaotic. This cannot distract us from serving, and watching God honor you with His weighty power. What is distracting you?

Excellent post. I really like the quote about “indifference”. I want to make a difference and not be indifferent !
