Breaking All the Rurals

Here are a few ideas God has given us that are promoting growth, energy – and are instant wins:

#1 Christmas Everywhere
We started our series “Whoville” the week after Thanksgiving and have had the pedal down ever since. Lobby, Kids, Bathrooms, Offices, Lights, and even Eggnog Lattes. Big Win!

#2 Red Carpet Connection
After each service we are inviting guest to join us for snacks and a free gift. At each table we have a DVD with three of my favorite messages, upcoming events, staff members to greet, and how to get plugged into BNC. I know this isn’t a new concept, but bringing this old one back for us is needed and productive.

#3 Meeting with Campus Pastors
Every week we have a “what can we do better” call on Monday and a complete service run through on Thursday. Tremendous clarity and vision.

#4 Community Events
Serving at the Volunteer Fire Department Chili Supper, Fall Festival on the Square, Milk for the Crisis Mothers Center and Shoes for Kids at schools.

#5 E-News
Another way to communicate is so important. Facebook, cards, Twitter, 10 before video announcements and now E-News. We are having 21% clicking and reading. They need to hear it 5 times, so we are doing more to get it out there.

#6 Kids
They choose the restaurants, vacation destinations, and whether you come back next Sunday. More color, activity room for volunteers children, gaming, memorization, and energy. It doesn’t take a lot to get a child to tell mom all about it.
