I am in a techno savvy mood and wanted to share with you apps that are adding HUGE value to my life. Technology must be leveraged to reach your target audience and a larger audience as well.
#1 YouVersion
It’s the Bible on the Go that allows you to connect your learning with Facebook, Twitter and MMS. Thank you to LifeChurch.tv for this beautiful smooth running app.
#2 ARVEST
My banking app has changed my financial life. Traveling and being on the go as a family this allows us to check balances, pay bills and transfer money on the fly.
#3 PCO
Planning Center Online is “our Bible” for weekend experiences at Brand New Church. The app allows me to check what is going on without being in front of my computer.
#4 Twitter and Tweetdeck
I use both because Twitter attaches pictures better and Tweetdeck let’s me send DM and retweet quicker. Tweetdeck also has a simpler columns reader.
#5 Starbucks
I am already a Gold Member and love paying my bill with my cell phone! Lots of discounts and flawless performance.
#6 iDream
When you travel it is nice to block out the sounds in a noisy hotel hallway while you sleep. Most of the sounds are free and there are a few worth purchases.
#7 GContact
This allows me to set a text messaging groups on the iPhone.
#8 Recorder
Awesome response and sensitivity from this voice recorder. It allows you to record a message and send it with various methods, even link it to Dropbox.
#9 DIRECTV
I can record my favorite TV Shows to my DVR while I am sitting in the Doctors office. You can even pick the room of the house you want it to record. By the way DIRECTV is the best provider of TV I have ever seen.
#10 Dragon Dictation
Just say it and the Dragon will type it. You then can send it in a SMS, Twitter, Facebook, or Email. It grabs your familiar words and contacts spellings.
#11 Around Me
This app will help you find what you are looking for. POWERFUL!
#12 CamWOW
You take your picture and it becomes a coloring book picture. You can print it and color away.
Don’t hold back on a brother…share your favorite apps for you and your ministry.

Facebook! In youth ministry it is my #1 tool and #1 app. I also encourage our students to “check in” so all their friends see where the hot spot is on Wed nights!

I hear you are coming to the Northwest in October. Looking forward to it. I am just about finished with your book and it has been a blessing along with others. Hope to meet you on the 10th. By the way, I’ve recently been healed of Pancreatic Cancer! No Chemo…No Meds….Only my Heavenly Father!!
