Leadership Impartation

By Shannon O'Dell / Posted on 26 July 2011

Moses couldn’t do it all on his own. He told God that these people were not his people and God told Moses they weren’t his people. They were just too many for Moses to lead effectively. The people were a burden to Moses and he needed help. God called him to get 70 elders and meet him at the tent. Then the Lord (Numbers 11:25) “gave the seventy elders the same Spirit that was upon Moses”. Sunday night we are meeting at the “tent” and doing the same for the leaders of Brand New Church. Why is this so important:

#1 I can’t do it alone.
Growth is duplication and multiplication. God models this for us.
#2 They need “your” Spirit.
The Holy Spirit, and the spirit of burden for the call God has given you to lead His church.
#3 I need an extension of me.
Multi-site ministry requires it more than ever. Pastor you need a you at every location and in every ministry.
#4 Leaders need ownership.
Moses was now not the only one who prophesied. The scripture indicated they all prophesied, even a couple who didn’t attend but were supposed to be there.
#5 Evaluation is good.
Who are the ones that are ready for impartation?  Evaluating this is healthy for the leader.
#6 Reveals new vision.
Many have the revelation of more than vision LISTENING, they have vision LEADING.
#7 Impartation changes Lives
Impartation: “to share a portion, to distribute, to give, to share something”. God’s Spirit, in you, being imparted to your team, will be a life changing moment.
#8 Your Growth depends on it.
Don’t wait till you have thousands…prepare to lead thousands by having impartation today. Your church is not too small.
