13 Verses to Pray Over Your Children

The Word of God cut through the facade, to the very physiological and anatomical structure of your children (Hebrews 4:12). So we must use it to shape them internally, and eternally.

“All your sons will be taught by the LORD, and great will be your children’s peace.” Isaiah 54:13

“A wise son heeds his father’s instruction, but a mocker does not listen to rebuke.” Proverbs 13:1

“As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.” 1 Peter 1:14

“Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.” 1 Peter 2:2

“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’” Hebrews 13:5

“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Hebrews 13:16

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18

“Finally, brothers, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.” 1 Thessalonians 4:1

“Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’” 1 Peter 5:5

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” James 1:22

“I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.” Philemon 1:6

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7
